Film Photography in Black & White I
Reduced silver halides is what’s is all about, whether one develops film or develops a print. In this course we will address this process from the ground up. Beginning with taking pictures, getting reacquainted with your camera’s body and lens; understanding apertures for depth of field and special effects; shutter speeds and its relation to light and exposure; your camera’s ISO (International Standard Organization) which also influences exposure, all to create the ideal density of reduced silver that can result in a wonderful print.
Covered in this course will be the following:
Understanding your cameras operating functions.
Development of film negatives and making contact sheets
Operation of the enlarger for proper exposure to the paper.
Developing fibre based paper for the best, most archival option.
